• News From Haiti: At the present time, there are 741 local (Church of God) churches and 327 (COG) missions with more than 250,000 members. The present overseer, Bishop Elysee Joseph, has passed away due to injuries acquired during the earthquake. The Church of God is among the largest Christian movements in Haiti. Please Pray for our Missionaries and Ministers as they rebuild lives, churches and communities. If you would like to give to this cause you can do so through our church. 100% of all funds received will go directly to Haiti.

• FOOD PANTRY HELP NEEDED: Due to your generous donations of food and money, we were able to keep the food pantry stocked over the holidays and meet many needs. This was in addition to the food baskets we provided at Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Unfortunately, the needs for food does not stop with the dawning of a new year.  We still have many people who are reaching out and asking for food to feed their families.  Please do what you can!  We accept any non-perishable food as well as monetary donations.  Checks should be made payable to New Hope Church and food pantry indicated in note section.  Monetary donations go directly to purchasing food items for the pantry.  Some of the items we go through quickly includes peanut butter, canned meats (ham, chicken, tuna, salmon), green beans, corn, peas, spaghetti  and spaghetti sauce, cereal, pancake mix and syrup, canned fruit, macaroni & cheese.  If you have questions, please see or call Bobbie or Berne Perry at 301-645-4496. • Patch The Pirate Club: A new ministry for our church.This is for children age 4 to 11 and is held on Wednesday evening at 7:15 to 8:30 as part of our Family Training Hour. Captains Jennifer and Jeanne encourage you to bring your children so they can be a part of this wonderful and fun children's Christian learning endeavor. So Exciting! Also, to the New Hope church family who would like to "sow a seed" into this ministry, any monetary donations that you might want to give to help support the expenses of this club will be appreciated.   Wednesday Night Bible Study....This is your opportunity to be a part of an outstanding study of God's word in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Various teachers are currently teaching from an array of topics.
  
  
• Classes for children and teens are held in the gym. (7:15 - 8:30 P.M.) Sunday School Christian Education at New Hope ... Looking for a quality systematic Bible study? Searching for ways to enrich and grow in your walk with Christ? We offer an outstanding teaching program. Various teachers lead Bible study for adults in the sanctuary at 10:00 AM each Sunday morning.
